Jobsplus, Malta’s Public Employment Agency, has opened a Work Exposure Scheme that gives hands-on training in a work environment to those currently without a job. Each successful applicant will be given 240 hours of training and an allowance equivalent to the minimum wage for every hour of training.
Here are a few other reasons you should consider applying for the Work Exposure Scheme if you are currently looking for a job but are unsure what is suitable for you.
Choose any occupation!
Applicants are free to choose whichever occupation they wish to gain valuable work experience in.
Each trainee will receive an allowance for every hour of training attended.
The agency will pay each trainee the minimum wage equivalent for every hour of training.
You will be recognised for your participation
All trainees will receive an official certificate of participation after they’ve completed their placements.
Future employers will commend you
You will walk into your next job with more work experience and added value as an employee while saving your future employers time off training a new employee.
And it’s super easy to apply! Jobsplus will be accepting applications for the Work Exposure Scheme until the 31st of July 2023 and all training is to be completed by the end of September 2023.
Prospective employers can also benefit from this scheme by becoming placement providers and eyeing suitable employees. Should a placement provider choose to employ the trainee in question, they would receive a subsidy from the agency.
