Jobsplus, Malta’s Public Employment Agency, has opened a Work Exposure Scheme for Students that gives hands-on training in a work environment to students aged 17-24 and attending a higher educational institute. Each successful applicant will be given 200 hours of training over a maximum period of 10 weeks and an allowance of €7.50 for every hour of training.

Choose any occupation that falls under ISCO Code 3, 4 and 5!

Applicants are free to choose whichever occupation that aligns with their field of study to gain valuable work experience.

ISCO Code 3 – Technicians and Associate Professionals

ISCO Code 4 – Clerical Support Workers

ISCO Code 5 – Service and Sales Workers

Each trainee will receive an allowance for every hour of training attended.

The agency will pay each trainee €7.50 for every hour of training.

You will be recognised for your participation

All trainees will receive an official certificate of participation, after they’ve completed their placements, giving their CV a competitive edge.

Future employers will commend you

You will walk into your next job with more work experience and added value as an employee while saving your future employers time off training a new employee.

And it’s super easy to apply! Jobsplus will be accepting applications for the Work Exposure Scheme for Summer Students until the 14th May 2025 and all training is to be completed by the end of September 2025.

Employers can also benefit from this scheme by becoming placement providers and eyeing suitable future prospective employees at zero financial cost for their business during the training period.

Jobsplus continuously offers the necessary tools to help individuals become more employable through guidance services, training schemes such as the work exposure scheme and free courses.
