Christmas is all about giving and what better way to go about completing the circle than to get a gift from Santa Claus in the flesh. 

Shoppers over at the Point shopping mall in Tigne were treated to a festive surprise when the North Pole’s most notable resident showed up to cover the cost of Christmas purchases, red suit and all!

Cameras were installed in a number of establishments across the shopping mall ahead of time, all in place to make Maltese shoppers’ Christmas dreams a reality. 

On presenting their HSBC card in outlets, customers were greeted to raucous bell ringing and the arrival of Father Christmas, where he promptly paid for the Point customers’ purchases in full.

The delighted reactions of customers were captured for all to see and compiled by HSBC to mark the Christmas festivities. “Now is the right time for HSBC to thank its customers and give something back during Christmas,” said an HSBC spokesperson. “It’s all about fun and Christmas spirit.”
