1. Using public transport is highly encouraged
Public transport will be running till 1am on the night to and from the venue, and you won’t have to worry about getting stuck in traffic and looking for parking. If you choose to use your personal car you can park at the Floriana Park and Ride, or MCP Car Park (using the entrance from waterfront side).
Easily accessible drop-off points will be available near both Portes de Bombes and the Park and Ride, for those getting a lift to the event.
2. Here’s a list of things you CAN’T take with you
-No Glass bottles including perfume bottles
–No weapons
-No fireworks
-No selfie sticks
You can find the full list here.
3. Dress appropriately
And by that we mean remember that it’s going to be very hot and crowded and you’re going to be standing up for hours. Wear comfy shoes and clothes that won’t suffocate you. Think about what bag you’re taking too; remember the size restrictions and make sure you’ll feel secure holding it on your person.
4. Take some safety precautions ahead of arriving
Eat and drink enough water before, charge your phone, have some emergency money on you (not too much!), and plan a meeting point with your friends in case you get separated. There will be public restrooms available throughout the venue.
5. Keep the venue clean!
Recycling stations will be available all over the venue where you can dispose of your cups, bottles and wrappers.
And don’t forget the next two amazing free concerts happening at the Granaries next week!
On the 17th July, the Camera, Lights, Malta – BBC will be filling the space with their magical music taken straight from all of our favourite film scores. And on the 18th, Brit-pop legend Liam Gallagher will be serenading us and stirring up some misbehaviour amongst the crowds.
