After being held as a virtual event for 2 years due to the pandemic, the annual EY-Parthenon Malta Future Realised Conference is back in person, creating a space for 1,000 public and private sector leaders to meet and discuss Malta’s potential and future.

Against the backdrop of a world recovering from a pandemic and rising geopolitical tensions, this year’s event will focus on Malta’s role in a changing world and how the country’s investment attractiveness is being shaped.

High-profile international speakers, top government representatives and industry CEOs will be leading the discussions.

The event is well-known for the unveiling of the Malta Attractiveness Survey, which has been released every year for the past 18 years. The survey highlights investors’ sentiments on Malta’s overall attractiveness to invest, the key strengths and areas for improvement.

This year’s survey will also be presenting key findings following the removal of the FATF grey listing, rising inflation, supply chain challenges, the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, and the latest on climate change, sustainability and emerging technologies.

Split into three parts, the event will kick off with a review of the global economy followed by the results of the Malta Attractiveness Survey.

A discussion about trade and business strategy in the current climate of uncertainty will also take place.

Finally, an analysis of investment drivers for Malta in a changing world will put global tax reform, skills, digital and innovation, sustainability and infrastructure under the microscope.

Delegates can participate in topical workshops which will look at key sectors and the issues they are facing, as well as by visiting the expo.

An evening reception is also being held the day before the event at the MCC’s Grand Harbour Terrace.

“This year’s discussions will focus on the resilience and adaptability that have become necessary for Maltese companies to thrive in a world of uncertainty. It is up to all of us to work together and make a difference,” said Ronald Attard, EY Malta Country Managing Partner and CESA Strategy and Transactions Leader. “We will once again bring the biggest global companies and international institutions to provide their views, stimulate debate and generate ideas for a better, more sustainable and inclusive Malta.”

“The Malta Attractiveness Survey will be the basis of our discussions on the day, but we will also bring out some surprises as we intend to challenge the status quo, asking better questions that will lead to even better answers,” according to EY Malta Director and Attractiveness Program Lead, Simon Barberi.
