Balluta Bay ‘Fit For Swimming’ Again After Month-Long Microbiological Contamination

The popular Balluta Bay in St Julian’s is fit for bathing again, the Environmental Health Directorate said today.

This comes after the presence of a microbiological contamination, including E. coli, was detected back in mid-August.

“During the last days repeated sampling of seawater from the bathing site indicated below is once again fit for bathing and thus the health warning is hereby being lifted,” authorities said today.
