Behind The Scenes: Here’s What Tonight’s Isle Of MTV Stage Is Going To Look Like

The Isle of MTV free concert is going down tonight in Malta, and one of the island’s biggest music festivals comes with a stage to match. While MTV design the stage and try to outdo themselves every year, Maltese companies were involved in the design, management and building of the stage, and the whole process looks epic.

MADE Studio, a collaboration between Luke Lapira and Frank Ellul, who specialise in structural design and engineering, oversaw the structural design and certification of the Isle of MTV stage and structures, which started being erected last week. “The building contract for the temporary steelworks were given to a local stage contractor, Nigel Vella of iSTAGE,” MADE Studio said. “We did the calculations to make sure it stands up and looks awesome!” MADE and iSTAGE will also be working on the massive, 35 metre Unite With Tomorrowland stage later next month.

Check out some exclusive behind the scenes photos courtesy of MADE Studio and iStage themselves.

The result is what looks like another show-stopping stage which will be welcoming the likes of The Chainsmokers, DNCE and other chart-topping artists tonight from 5.30 pm onwards.
