After a stressful post-Easter week, you probably feel like you need a way to unwind, relax and forget about that boiling pile of unanswered work emails that are filling up your inbox.

Luckily, we’re here to rearrange your weekend plans and inform you of all the ways you can have that enjoyable weekend you truly deserve.

Friday 26th April

1. Read a book!

Keen-eyed readers / angry internet trolls may have noticed that this event actually started yesterday, but Kirkop’s Mega Book Sale is on until Saturday so it still counts. Besides, we’re sure you won’t complain after you find that one book you’ve been searching for, at the grand ol’ price just €3, or cheaper!

2. A super throwback party

Dust off those leather leggings and biker jackets because Alex ‘Reflex’ Grech is back with a night of 80s nostalgia, drinking and competition.

The Beer Cave is giving away prizes to the two best costumes of the night. And no, the irony of this one being on a Friday is not lost on me.

3. Come to the depths of hell

Well, Liquid technically, but the underground party Metro is sure to bring the fire with their great line-up of performers. Drop by back room for a night of dark bangers.

4. Keep that biker jacket handy

Because you’ll definitely need it if you choose to attend Thunder On The Rock, hosted by the Maltese Islands Harley-Davidson Club.

This weekend-long festival is set to feature live music, camping and biker-themed activities. Oh, and all the proceeds will be donated to the AU4MC Association!

5. Disconnect and switch off on the rocks of Comino

For the first time ever, enjoy an Offline weekend away from the stress and noise of everyday life, and just relax on the island of Comino for three days of music, art and creativity, overlooking the beautiful clear waters.

The infamous queer party is back for its 31st instalment at the Sky Club in Dragonara by celebrating 90s RnB hits.

Think Puff Daddy and Missy Elliot for this incredible display of gay!

At this adorable screening of the Dumbo movie specially tailored so that it will be easier to follow by children with Autism.

Fgura’s Galleria Cinema will be lowering the sound, dimming the lights and adding subtitles so that everyone can enjoy the Disney-remake!

Malta’s annual Strawberry Festival finally returns to Mgarr after a two-week weather delay, and we can’t wait.
