Last week English fitness model Natacha Oceane had one question that needed to be answered: if she ate 3,000 calories a day, every day for a week in Malta, would she get fat?

Natacha Oceane came to Malta for a week with plans to do nothing but eat. No training, and no exercise, apart from the walking she would be doing between meals.

Luckily, she came to the country with the most obese girls in Europe, and with the amount of incredible food Malta offers, she really couldn’t have chosen a better place.

As someone who does intense training throughout the year, usually over 4 times a week, some well planned rest weeks throughout the year are essential, both for your body to recover, and for your mind to take a chill pill.

Natacha said that she usually takes about 3 rest weeks a year, and decided to spend her latest one in Malta.

Enjoying the beautiful island, especially the sun in November, she also ate whatever she could find, from seafood platters in Marsaxlokk to piadinas in Valletta.

They even get their hands on a prickly pear, and courageously attempt to open it and eat it without proper handling, which the guy must have been happy about a couple of hours later.

Natacha explains how she actually got involved in health and fitness after struggling with an eating disorder when she was 16. She wanted to take control of her body and health, and by 2014 was competing in the IronMan competition, one of the toughest endurance competitions around.

She’s also overcome her eating disorder, as can be seen from her having no problem eating 3,000 calories a day in her rest week in Malta.

At the end of it all, she explains that she was still feeling great, and that her body hadn’t go through any exceptional changes. Her skin and hormones were fine, and all in all she felt rested and recovered to begin her intense training schedule again.

As flawless as Natacha makes it seem, it’s good to remember that prior to the cheat week, she was doing this all day.
