Festa enthusiasts are spoilt for choice, with seven village feasts being held around the Maltese islands this weekend.

We know the whens, so we’ve put together the wheres and a little bit about what to expect from each festa. Take your pick.

1. St. Anne, Marsaskala

This festa celebrates the patron saint of Marsaskala, St Anne, and is usually on the last Sunday of July.

The statue of St Anne is the work of artist Ferdinando Steuflesser and was sculpted in wood soon after the Second World War. It depicts St Anne together with a small statue of Mary as a child.
