Floriana and Hibernians football clubs have their work cut out for them following the draw of the second round of the UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

Hibernians eagerly welcomed the news that they will face top-tier Hungarian side Fehérvár FC in the second round.

The announcement comes after the Hibs toppled FC Vaduz in a stunning 2-0 victory, and with one man down, last week.

The proud peacocks will now face Fehérvár FC, a Hungarian football club competing in the country’s highest division, Nemzeti Bajnokság I, which it has won three times over the past decade.

Unlike their previous matchup, Hibs will be playing at home on September 17th at Centenary Stadium.

On the other hand, BOV Premier League champions Floriana FC will venture abroad to compete for a spot in the Europa League with a matchup against Northern Ireland side Linfield Football Club.

Floriana qualified for the Champions Path of the Europa League qualifying phase after being crowned domestic league champions. They’ll be put to the test as they face the Northern Irish semi-professional club.

Floriana will have the privilege of playing at Northern Ireland’s national football stadium on September 17th.
