Hilarious Backlash Over Maltese Nutritionist’s Anti-Figolla Post

Article Featured Image

Popular nutritionist Marion Mizzi has unleashed the rage of Facebook users after her social media page posted the alleged calorie count of a Maltese figolla.

Claiming that every single figolla contains upwards of 5100 calories, the page warned users to about the diet-breaking nature of our traditional sweet, with a long list of supposed nutritional information.

The backlash was swift, and savage.

Some who wrote in weren’t so sure the numbers added up, while others simply refused to let anything get in the way of their holiday binge.

Either way, the hurt was very real.

Now, we’re not exactly nutritional experts, but the three figolli we’ve weighed (for science) average around 600g each, making those 750g of carbohydrates a mathematical anomaly.

The post itself has over 200 shares, with many freaking out over the fact that it’s basically the equivalent of eating 10 Big Macs, but if you ask us – there’s no number big enough to keep us away from these beauties.
