Inspirational Guy Cycling From Norway To Malta To Raise Funds For Cancer Research Finally Arrives On Island

Article Featured Image

Darren Davis has taken the gruelling challenge of travelling thousands of miles by bicycle in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK. He started out his journey in Nordkapp, North Cape in Norway. This is the northernmost point in Europe, and he’s decided to go all the way down to Malta, some 4,000 miles away.

The whole thing has taken him 55 days to complete, but he’s finally made it!

He passed through Finland, Sweden, Germany and Austria and is currently in Italy, meaning that his goal will soon be reached.

His journey apart from being probably the most tiring thing anyone has ever done, came with a couple of bumps along the way. Darren lost his bike as he was flying from Gatwick to Oslo, however he was later reunited with his trusted companion.

There were days when Davis had to put his journey on hold due to terrible weather

Darren met some really kind people along the way, who gave him shelter and delicious food

Crossing his first border into Finland

He even met others who undertook a similar journey

He even underwent wasps, severe sunburn and cruel heat

And even managed to cycle 84 miles in just one day

But still stopped for a nice break every once in a while

There were days when it was too tough to handle

But other days when the views made it totally worth it

Here he is cycling through the Italian mountains

Darren kept a positive spirit throughout his voyage

And kept us all constantly updated with his progress

There were days when he felt like giving up

But thank God he didn’t

Yesterday morning, departing from Pozzallo, he asked people to suggest a comfortable place to stay in Valletta for a couple of nights

But yesterday evening, he shared the awesome news of his arrival in Malta… proudly standing in front of Valletta’s Triton fountain

Tag someone who could probably cycle from Norway to Malta!
