The rest of Malta will be celebrating Carnival on 17th to 21st February, but Ħamrun is not ‘like other girls’.

Karnival Fil-Ħamrun, the lesser-known carnival of Malta, is taking place today, 12th February, between 9.30am and 1.30pm.

The yearly event is organised by the Ħamrun Local Council, and it’s back for another year.

Triq il-Kbira San Ġużepp will welcome the traditional carnival atmosphere owing to the local bands, parade floats, masks, dances, music and other activities.
