The Prime Minister’s wife Michelle Muscat and the Opposition leader’s wife Nickie Vella de Fremeaux put their rivalries aside for the sake of some good old Carnival spirit today. 

The wives of the two political leaders, as well as Partit Demokratiku MP Marlene Farrugia, will be caricatured on the same float in this weekend’s Carnival celebrations.  

They took it in good spirit too, visiting the float storage room in Floriana and climbing up a ladder to sign their names on the joint float.

Opposition leader Adrian Delia accompanied his wife today and, if the photos taken by Net are anything to go by, he was nothing short of amazed at the artistic wonder of the floats.
