An actor from the award-winning Narcos series has been spotted chilling on a secluded beach in Malta.

Matias Varela posted himself vibing shirtless besides a boat near a picturesque Maltese inlet in Comino, alongside a quip about cropping the photo to better show off his abs.

“Photo by @juliaragnarok, cropped by me to get closer to the abs. No filter,” Varela posted to his Instagram stories.

Varela starred as Jorge Salcedo Cabrera, the head of security for the Cali Cartel, in season three of the Netflix series Narcos.

His performance was widely singled out by critics and fans alike as among the best in the series – and in 2020, he reprised the role in the second season of Narcos: Mexico.
