Net News Tried To Find Drugs At Junior College But Instead Found Lots Of Confused Faces
A police raid on Junior College, which saw three students arrested for possession of an unknown drug, prompted Net News to try and find out how serious the drug problem is at Malta’s largest sixth form.
With tense and dramatic music for maximum effect and black and white background shots of the school, a journalist from the PN’s news station asked students chilling outside Junior College whether they had ever seen drugs at their school and whether they believe JC needs more security.
Yet, if any of the students had seen drugs at the school, they kept their cards close to their chests. Two girls said they had seen people smoking weed outside the school, but argued that they don’t view marijuana as a hard drug.
“I don’t think drugs should be used near schools, but I also think this whole story is being exaggerated,” one of the female students said.
“Drugs have been found at other schools, so I found the story unfair on Junior College,” the other one said.
