A dog that fell into an abandoned well escaped unharmed after a Civil Protection Department rescue mission.

Officers from the Pembroke Fire Station were called in to assist the dog after it had become unreachable, and it wasn’t able to escape the well itself.

“Thankfully the dog was brought up to safety unharmed,” the CPD said, alongside the hashtag #tosaveandprotect.

After the rescue, the dog was returned to its family, with its owners beaming and playing with the dog, who was in good spirits after emerging from the well.
