COVID-19 guidelines for sixth forms, university, and kindergartens are to be released in the coming days, Education Minister Owen Bonnici told Lovin Malta.

Bonnici confirmed that said guidelines are at an advanced stage, with some of them having been discussed with the relevant unions.

Earlier this week, Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci and Education Ministry Permanent Secretary Frank Fabri announced the COVID-19 guidelines for primary and secondary schools.

Amongst other things, staff and students older than 11 are required to wear masks throughout the day, whilst students younger than 11 will be allowed to keep their masks off in the classroom – although they will have to wear them when leaving the room.

Students will also be having their temperatures checked before entering the school and parents were also encouraged to not send their children to school if they’re feeling sick.
