A man has died while out at sea at the popular Gozitan beach of Ramla l-Ħamra this afternoon.

According to Newsbook, who was on site, the early indications are that the man didn’t know how to swim. 

Water rescue personnel from the Emergency Response & Rescue Corps (ERRC) were the first responders at the incident.

Another man who was out at sea with the victim has been taken to the Gozo Hospital for treatment.

The victim’s details have yet to be established.
