Tributes are flooding in as the Maltese community is mourning the death of the promising young talent and Mqabba goalkeeper Kurt Polidano, who tragically passed away yesterday.

Known for his down-to-earth nature, kindness, and infectious energy, Kurt garnered praise and love from all who knew him.

The footballing community is left in shock, remembering him as an exceptional individual who brought joy to the pitch.

“Kurt – a true role model, dear friend, and a burst of energy. We recall your humble beginnings in our nursery, where you worked tirelessly with other children, striving for success and embracing numerous achievements,” Mqabba FC said in a tribute.

“We even entrusted you with coaching duties at our nursery, and the impact you made on the young ones is simply immeasurable. In recent years, you played a crucial role in our senior team’s triumphant journey to secure a spot in the prestigious Challenge League.”
