Ħelwa Tat-Tork Cake Is A Thing And We Wish It Had Happened Sooner

Article Featured Image

Ħelwa tat-tork is a great gluten-free sweet snack that the Maltese have been making for centuries. It’s right up there alongside nougat as one of our national desserts and now, thanks to Baked Café in Msida, it’s been made into a cake and we wish it was something that had happened a lot sooner.

Just get a load of that moist, nutty goodness…

The cake is now being served at their Msida café with a scoop of the ol’ classic ice cream and honestly we have needed this in our lives for a lot longer than today.

Serious question though: are Baked just baking geniuses? First we get their awesome brownie and stroopwafel mashup and now we get this. If Einstein was a baker his name would be ħelwa cake.

Tag a friend who needs to take you for a slice of this cake, like, yesterday.
