“THANK YOU for choosing me to spend the rest of your life with!” Lindsey posted on Facebook alongside a photo of the ring.
The question was lingering on Matthew James’ mind for a while, but it was all about finding the perfect time and place to do it for him.
“I bought the ring in June so was a long time to keep it a secret!” Matthew James told Lovin Malta.
“I had to carry it in hand luggage and was so scared that they were going to open it for a random check, but all was good!”
The happy couple were on vacation in picturesque Zakopane, Poland when he popped the question.
“We are in the middle of nowhere!”
But the middle of nowhere isn’t really nowhere when you’re with the person of your dreams, something Matthew James is fully aware of.
“I decided to propose because she is the most caring, beautiful soul I have ever met in my entire life. She helped me through the toughest moments.”
