Malta’s king of teleshopping Mario Morales is making a comeback on TikTok!
“After 25 years spent on television, now I’ll be on TikTok to see what can come out of it,” Morales said in a short TikTok posted just this weekend.
The video’s gotten a lot of locals’ attention, amassing over 24,000 views and more than 700 likes from old fans and intrigued newcomers alike.
The chatter around the video is mostly of love and support for the icon, with many reminiscing about their favourite tv segments of his. However, many wonder what he has in store for the internet.
“I want to hear your questions and requests and I’ll get back to you in the coming days. Thank you to everyone!” Morales closed the video off.
The 75-year-old has been a household for the last couple of decades thanks to the ever-popular TV show Bargain Teleshopping. Last year, however, Morales announced he was calling it a day due to concerns related to his growing age.
The telemarketer claimed he grew tired of the process and often found himself lacking the spark he once had. Last Christmas, Lovin Malta sat down with him to take a trip down memory lane and get his thoughts on his situation.
“Sometimes I didn’t manage to come up with things, sometimes you slip up and things don’t flow as easily,” Morales had said last December.
However, it would seem that the spark hadn’t been snuffed out completely, and we absolutely can’t wait to see what more Morales has in store for Malta!
