‘Great Job Amigo, You Sound Great’: Michael Bublé Praises X Factor Malta’s First Eliminated Finalist
Mattia Adduocchio might’ve had his X Factor Live Finals adventure cut short last night… but he can be proud with the fact that an international superstar actually praised him on a rendition of a beloved classic.
A couple of weeks before this weekend’s big moment on the big stage, Mattia – who had just impressed the judges with his version of Michael Bublé’s Feeling Good – took to Instagram to share a conversation with the one and only Bubes.
“You are my favourite singer since I was little, I sang this piece that I have been listening to since I was little and it would be an honour if I listened to it,” Mattia told the beloved singer. And low and behold, he actually got a reply!
“Great job amigo, you sound great,” Bublé told the Italian contestant.
“I have shivers all 0ver my body with emotion, I didn’t think you would answer me,” a clearly very moved Mattia replied. “You are a great source of inspiration for me, thank you for everything.”
“My pleasure,” Bublé replied. “Keep working hard and don’t give up.”
Bublé is no stranger to popular talent shows, having been a judge himself on both America’s Got Talent and The Voice UK.
Unfortunately for Mattia, last night was his last appearance as a hopeful for this season’s X Factor Malta, having been the first to be eliminated despite another, arguably even better rendition of his clearly favourite song, Feeling Good.

This afternoon, Mattia returned to social media for his first statement since last night’s elimination.
“I’m disappointed because a wonderful group between us guys had been created, and because it had become a habit to be together,” the young Rimini singer wrote. “I imagined yesterday could’ve gone on like this, and I was interested because of this, to be able to give so much on stage.”
“I want to wish all the guys a big good luck in their adventure and a massive thank you to Mishel,” Mattia said, also congratulating the talent dancer on stage during his performance.
