‘There Was No One Like You’: Amber Posts Heartfelt Shout-Out To Her Eliminated X Factor Semi-Finalist Kodin
15-year-old Kodin Camilleri may have won over the hearts of thousands by being this year’s youngest contestant of X Factor Malta, but the teenager’s efforts just weren’t enough last night to secure him a place in the upcoming Semi Finals. It did, however, prompt a heartfelt shout-out by his mentor Amber.
“Kodin, Kodin, Kodin, you’re amazing and so talented,” Amber began in a post she shared on social media moments today. “From the first time I saw you in the auditions I felt you had something special, and I kept on believing that you’d make it to the live shows.”
“There was no one like you in this competition,” the X Factor Malta judge continued. “Because you’re not only an artist, but an entertainer. Every time you go up on that stage, you give a show and you make everyone enjoy it with you.”
“Your love of music is so admirable, and your sympathy and charisma attracts everyone who listens to you and puts a smile on everyone’s faces,” Amber went on in the lengthy tribute to her eliminated contestant.

“I was, am and will continue to be proud of you,” she finished. “You will find me there to give you all my support during your career, which will definitely be a long and successful one.”
During last night’s closing moments of the show, Kodin had to sing for his place in next week’s Live Semi Finals, but failed to convince all the judges, who instead chose to keep Amelia after a tense sing-off between the two young singers.
Eager to thank everyone for the support despite the understandable disappointment, Kodin actually took to social media last night right after his elimination, saying that while his X Factor journey had ended, “a career and bigger musical maturity has been born as of tonight”.
