Watch: A Hall Full Of Boos! Amber’s Final Boys Elimination Triggers X Factor Malta Live Audience

As the stakes keep getting higher, we have now arrived in the more tense moments of X Factor Malta. And nowhere was this more evident than on tonight’s episode!

One of the most hotly contested categories took centre stage tonight for the Boys’ Six Chair Challenge, with spots being chosen until the closing seconds of the show… but it was that very final choice that mentor Amber had to take which triggered the audience.

16-year-old Timothy Gialanze very effortlessly impressed the judges during his first audition, and clearly had a lot of fans in the hall for tonight’s Six Chair Challenge. But his choice of such a difficult song like Seal’s Kiss From A Rose didn’t seem to pay off, with judges like Howard instantly expressing their doubt on the teenager’s prospects for the next phase.

Despite all of this – and even a sing-off against show favourite Kodin Camilleri – Timothy managed to survive for pretty much the whole episode. Pretty much, because it was at the very end that he found himself losing his seat.

19-year-old Mattia Adduocchio made Amber’s life infinitely harder when he went last and delivered an impeccable rendition of Michael Buble’s Feeling Good… and as the Boys’ mentor herself said, she couldn’t not give him a set. And while many in the audience definitely weren’t expecting it, it was Timothy’s seat who eventually had to give.

“We agree to disagree,” Amber said, smiling as the hall erupted in loud boos at her decision and the other judges looked visibly entertained at how it wasn’t them who were put in an awkward and unpopular position this time. “How beautiful it is when we don’t agree, because there would be variety in life!”

The moment wasn’t the only controversial one for tonight, with Amber also getting a lot of boos when she decided to eliminate another very talented teenager, Brady Frendo. “You’re booing me now but you’ll tell me I was right in the future,” she told the audience then. “Because Brady is an artist but he still has more to grow. And he will eventually become one of the best artists in Malta!”

Do you agree with Amber’s set of controversial decisions?
