Watch: ‘You Won Me Over With Your Attitudes!’ – Teenage Sisters Win Over X Factor Malta Judges
No, you’re not seeing double!
Two sisters who don’t just look extremely alike but also share similar raw singing talent are next to be through to the Bootcamp phase of X Factor Malta this season.
Maria and Cristina Abela come from a large family of six singing siblings, but tonight, it was all about the Birkirkara’s family young members.
The 17 and 16-year-old girls had incredible chemistry on stage the likes of which can only be gained with sisterly love, something which judge Gianluca instantly spotted, himself coming from a very large family of seven.

“You won me over with your attitudes,” Gianluca said, smiling. “You won me over with the bond you have between you and how much you look like you love each other. And won me over with your performance.”
And while all four judges admitted there were things that the sisters could work on to improve, it didn’t stop them from giving Maria and Cristina four yeses and put them straight through to the next phase… all while reminiscing on their own sibling stories, of course!
