Flames broke out in Triq Ignazio Saverio Mifsud, Birkirkara this evening after a car caught fire while parked inside a garage.

A police spokesperson confirmed the incident to Lovin Malta but said it is too early to tell whether anyone has sustained any injuries.

The person who filmed the incident, a Maltese media producer working for international news agencies, was assaulted by someone on site for filming the incident.

Firefighters and police officers are on site.
