Form Showroom Launches ‘Echoes In Form’: A Bold New Exhibition By Fabio Borg

Form Showroom has unveiled “Echoes in Form,” a new solo exhibition by leading Maltese artist Fabio Borg, marking a significant moment in his artistic evolution. Curated by art historian Charlene Vella, the exhibition captures Borg’s bold transition toward full abstract, intensified colour, and expressive movement.

Known for decades as one of Malta’s foremost destinations for premium international furniture brands and contemporary design, Form continues to bridge creativity across disciplines by integrating fine art into its design-forward environment. This latest exhibition reinforces the showroom’s commitment to showcasing work that pushes boundaries in both form and expression.

In recent years, Borg’s artistic language has shifted dramatically. Once grounded in compositions that echoed representation and emotional resonance, his work now embraces abstract with clarity and conviction. In Echoes in Form, familiar shapes dissolve into energetic fields of colour, gesture, and atmospheric presence. The result is a collection that feels alive — intuitive yet carefully constructed.

Colour takes centre stage in this new body of work. Borg’s palette is more vibrant, layered and architecturally decisive than ever before. Rather than acting as embellishment, colour becomes the primary structure of each painting, creating rhythm, harmony and tension within the canvas.

Despite its abstract nature, Borg’s work remains deeply tied to experience. Each piece draws from internal landscapes, memories, sensations, and emotional undercurrents, inviting viewers to interpret the works instinctively and personally.

Echoes in Form reflects an artist who is increasingly confident in his voice and unafraid to push the edges of his practice. Represented internationally by Galleria Vittoria (Rome) and Konsum163 (Munich), Borg continues to expand his reach while remaining rooted in Malta’s contemporary art scene.

The exhibition is currently on view at Form Showroom in Valley Road Msida, with the collection available until January, or until stocks last.
