A Maltese artist recently collaborated with an agricultural expert to design and create a comic book that introduces children to the world of agriculture.

The comic book, called Salt N’ Pepper, was created to make information about agriculture available and easy to understand for 10 to 13-year-olds.

“This project was made and presented with love, both artistically, and agriculturally,” the artist Redent Camilleri told Lovin Malta.

“I had the artistic liberty to interpret the agricultural knowledge vested to me by Malcolm Borg through the adventures of Joey and Spencer. Marthese Farrugia was the manager who always glued us together as a team by taking care of those pesky nitty gritty bits of the projects,” Camilleri said.

The creatives previously attended events like the Farmoury Market, the Malta Comic Con 2022, and the FEE Fest (Ekoskola festival). They wish to continue school visits in the future and to work on collaborations.

The comics can be purchased by contacting their Instagram page, and plans are in place to introduce copies to specific retailers!

The cost for each comic book is only €10, with a small additional fee for the delivery option.
