Sure, we might not agree on whether ricotta or peas are the superior ingredient (for the record, it’s obviously ricotta) and we might still be torn on those Nutella and chicken monstrosities, but we can all agree that a small tradition cheesecake can go a very long way. So if there’s one hall of fame pastizzi definitely deserve to be inducted in, it’s the lovely and at times confusing world of memes.

Seven days ago, a new Instagram account called Pastizzi Memes showed up on the Interwebs. What followed in the last week was 17 posts that are just that; memes about the delicious delicacy that makes us all truly Maltese.
