We've discovered that quite a few of our readers don't actually enjoy carnival.  They plan to spend the famous weekend locked inside their house, escaping the neon-glow of the rampant festivities.

Well, we're here to say: don't do it alone. Do it with prinjolata

Just in case you're not sure what we mean, prinjolata is a Maltese traditional carnival cake that gets its name from the pine nut. But the nuts only serve as decoration. The cake itself is made of cream, sponge, citrus peel and biscuits. It's also made with condensed milk and Vermouth, so you might want to forget dieting for the weekend. Just to help you along the way, here's a bunch of different prinjolata formats in all their sweet glory.
