Clear Your Diaries – Festa Bebbux Is Officially Happening

Article Featured Image

Would your perfect Saturday involve eating bebbux in Qormi surrounded by the ambient sound of belting għannejja? Yep, we thought so. Well perfection is about to materialise in the form of this year’s Festa Bebbux, taking place on the 29th April.

The snail feast is happening at the Qormi Centre and has been described as “a celebration of good, traditional Maltese Food.”

For those of you unfamiliar with the miracle that is traditional Maltese bebbux, think of them as a less fancy escargot. They’re prepared with all the ingredients that Maltese people love – garlic, onions, herbs, tomatoes. But they lack the ceremony of their French cousins. Eating bebbux is a messy, fun-for-all event.

So whether you’re a seasoned snail eater, or a bebbux-newb – stay tuned to Facebook for more details on the bebbux event of the year!
