He’s Staying On: MasterChef Francesco Mazzei’s Epic Culinary Residency Extended at Corinthia Palace
Renowned MasterChef Francesco Mazzei and Corinthia Palace have announced the extension of their highly successful culinary residency in Malta.
Following a six-month kitchen residency that captivated the taste buds of locals and visitors alike in 2023, MasterChef Mazzei on Monday said he is thrilled to be extending his gastronomic journey at Corinthia Palace.
Mazzei, 50, is recognised as a leading global ambassador of Italian cuisine.
He is the chef behind award-winning London restaurants like L’Anima, Fiume, and Sartoria and is a regular fixture on BBC shows such as MasterChef and Saturday Kitchen, Stanley Tucci’s Searching for Italy on CNN, and the Italian Hell’s Kitchen.
Throughout the second half of 2023, Mazzei and his culinary team hosted a kitchen residency at Villa Corinthia in Attard, introducing diners to exceptional Italian produce – from award winning ‘Nduja, to world-famous bergamot, and a carefully curated wine list showcasing Italy’s finest and lesser-known grape varietals.
Known for his philosophy of no-frills and honest cooking, Mazzei and Corinthia also collaborated with leading Italian suppliers to offer diners the chance to sample some of the world’s most sought after food, like Umbria’s finest truffles.
The extension promises an expanded menu featuring innovative dishes, signature creations, and a continued commitment to delivering an unparalleled gastronomic experience for guests.
Announcing the extension of the residency, Mazzei said he and his team of chefs were overwhelmed with positive feedback from diners and are looking forward to the year ahead.
“We came to Malta to bring world-class Italian dining that is fun and accessible for all. We’ve created something special, and I’m excited to build on that foundation with new culinary delights and experiences in 2024,” he said.
