‘Hell Of A Run’: Marsaskala’s Bongo Nyah Announces New Chapter After Eight Years
Bongo Nyah, one of the south’s coolest and most chill restaurants, will be moving on to a new chapter closes and another chapter begins.
Taking to social media, restauranteur Marcio Vella announced the news in a heartfelt message declaring that it was time to start a new page in life.
“All good things come to an end,” Marcio said. “It has been a hell of a run, but now it’s time to move on.”

Speaking with Lovin Malta, he said that ‘part of Bongo Nyah will still remain’. However, it will be downsized as new owners take over the establishment.
New management will then keep one floor for tapas and cocktails only, while the other will turn into a new concept entirely.
Marcio opened the establishment shortly after receiving treatment for Leukemia.
He had no experience in the industry. But his energy and drive made it one of Malta’s favourite spots to get some grub, along with some chill vibes.
Amid the blood, sweat, and tears, and a host of memorable nights, it was high time “to start putting myself, my family and friends higher on my own ‘to-do list’,” Marcio said.
The restaurant featured on Lovin Malta after one brilliant occasion where patrons were given the opportunity to eat unlimited tapas for just €15.
Malta will miss all that culinary goodness that came with the place. But some patrons can still eye some fun times with the new concept.
Will you be going to the new Bongo Nyah?
