In Defence Of Picky Eaters: 6 Things Maltese Restaurants Need To Stop Doing
There are some of us that just cannot help ourselves; we like literally nine foods. Prepared in very specific ways. So oftentimes, going to restaurants can be a little stressful.
Here are six things Maltese restaurants need to stop doing.
1. Stop putting that weird green stuff on pasta
If we’re asking for pasta with tomato sauce, it’s probably because it’s the plainest thing on the menu, which is exactly why we want it. Don’t sprinkle parsley on there like some fuckin confetti.
2. Most of us don’t get along well with texture
So most of us will ask you to not put walnuts on our salads. And anything slimy like oysters or octopus is a big no-no.
3. Speaking of which, a lot of us don’t like seafood in general
Sorry seafood restaurants, we probably won’t be your clients.
At least, you won’t have customers asking you to change a million things from your original dishes. Yep, a lot of self-proclaimed picky eaters won’t eat anything that comes from the sea—the farthest we’ll go is canned tuna.
At least the Bible is on our side for this one, according to Leviticus 11:10.
4. Keyword: without
This is one that will ruin our day. Don’t you hate it when you can still taste the pickle on your burger because they took it out after you sent it back, and not because they prepared it without the pickle, like you had asked?
5. Stop drenching food in balsamic vinegar
This one is pretty self-explanatory. It makes everything soggy and the smell is overbearing. Ew.
6. Stop charging the same price for half the ingredients
I asked you to remove half the food items from the dish and just add chese, and you’re still gonna charge me an extra €1.50?
