Solely owned by Mrs Sant Manduca, one of the first female entrepreneurs in Malta, the Fontanella brand of both the tea garden and wine bar has been close to every Maltese’s heart.

Building everything from the ground up, Mrs Sant Manduca found an opportunity in her very own garden. Transforming the home green area into her very own business.

12 years ago, she also opened up her second venture, the Fontanella Wine Bar, better known as VINUM, which opens after 5pm. Cold cut platters, divine wines, and the perfect date night are just waiting for you at the Fontanella Wine Bar.

Altough both of these businesses are family-run, they are solely owned by Mrs Sant Manduca herself. 

All treats are homemade with love, helping you feel warm and fuzzy inside. Dress up, cosy up, and treat yourself to some delicious delicacies at the Fontanella Tea Garden this holiday season. Mince pies, honey rings, gingerbread men, and even a slice of Christmas log will be waiting for you in Mdina.

Freshly made in-house every single day, bakers visit Fontanella every day to create their classic tasty goods.

Enjoy a warm crepe at their newest addition, the super cute ice cream truck which is found inside of the tea garden itself.
