Giorgio’s In Sliema Have Revamped Their Menu And It’s Everything

The iconic corner cafe in Sliema needs no introduction, but a couple of weeks ago Giorgio’s updated their menu and that is definitely something worth writing about.
Many people see it as a cute, if slightly pricey, place to hang out mid-shopping spree. But with the new choices on offer you’re going to want to free up an hour or two for your lunch break.

1. Their salads are so great, you forget you’re being healthy
We tried the beetroot, horseradish and salmon salad and the Calamari and noodle salad, both of which were delicious. Something about the way the beetroots were pickled was just perfect. If you’re looking to watch your weight while you watch other people scoff down their calories, Giorgio’s is a good place to do it.
2. There’s more to pasta than penne and spaghetti
Why settle for the same old choices when there’s pappardelle carbonara and pearl barley with roast pupkin and red pepper on the menu. The standout choice for us was the calamari and chorizo risotto. Something about it just kept drawing our forks in for more, despite how full we were.

3. They also offer breakfast
And it looks divine. Set your alarm after a heavy night out, and make sure it’s one of the stops on your road to recovery.
4. And they cater for the poor gluten and/or lactose free souls
By offering more than just a frozen, dried up baguette. There are many dishes with a gluten free option marked on the menu, and the same can be said for their lactose free options.
5. A few things to keep in mind before you go:
The place is quite an iconic one, so more often than not it will be very busy.
It is quite pricey by comparison to other cafes.
The space is dog friendly, so can bring your furry friend along. They even have dog bowls so your lil buddy gets a drink too!
There’s an almost-hidden space upstairs that most people don’t know about. It’s super cosy and offers a killer view.
6. Just in case you’re not convinced, here’s a few more reasons to go ASAP
