This Fancy New Baħar Iċ-Ċagħaq Restaurant Is Part Of A Massive Concept In An 18th Century Building

Elba, a brand new fancy restaurant you’ve probably never heard of, has just opened in Malta… and the menu is impressive with a capital I.
It’s located on the Ba?ar Ic-Cag?aq shore line and it’s so close to the sea you can practically touch it. The food focuses on Mediterranean cuisine featuring freshly-prepared pasta, authentic Neapolitan pizzas, meats and seafood.
When you read the menu, you don’t actually expect the fine dining dishes that will come your way. Not only because of the affordable prices, but because of how creatively, elegantly and perfectly presented they all are.
The pizzas are cooked using their oven which uses both wood and gas, and they only use fresh seasonal ingredients.

Now that’s not all, because here’s the important bit: Elba is only one part of a new concept in Malta
Basically, an avant-garde 18th century building has been completely renovated and transformed, and it will house a plethora of swanky outlets to choose from, including the recently-opened Barlatte Gelato and Cafe.

A boutique hotel named XVI Suites will take over the building’s second floor, and will feature 16 elegant rooms.
You can also expect a stunning rooftop bar with an infinity pool that will offer a private dining experience, creative cocktails and panoramic sea and country views.
The basement will also consist of a sleek jazz bar and lounge. These will all be ready in time for summer, so make sure to stalk us for further updates!
In the meantime, Elba is definitely a must try.
