If you’re a strong believer that a bottle of wine a day keeps the doctor away, you’ve probably also felt the need to pair your favourite drink with a great cheese or two. 

However, if you’re not too sure which cheese goes well with which wine, you might need an occasion to try loads at the same time. Enter the Għaxaq Cheese and Wine Festival!

The festival, organized by the Għaxaq Local Council together with the St. Joseph and St. Mary Band Clubs, will be returning for a second year after an extremely successful edition in 2016. This year, the mouth-watering Salumeria will be handling the cheese platters.

“Basically, last year the event was absolutely sold out,” said Pablo Kuilboer from Salumeria. “For people to avoid disappointment this year, we’re partnering with most of the hotels so that people can book their platters in advance at the concierge desks.” And with the photos that Salumeria has been sharing of its platters, it’s pretty easy to see why planning ahead is so important.
