Watch: From Whales To Gingerbread Men, The Kite And Wind Festival Took Over Gozo’s Skies This Weekend

Gozo’s skies were filled with vibrant colours and diverse characters during the spectacular edition of the International Kite and Wind Festival last weekend.

The sixth edition of the festival took place in San Dimitri, Għarb, bringing together residents and tourists to witness uniquely coloured kites decorating the sky.

Kite enthusiasts from around the world participated in the festival, with participants hailing from Italy, Spain, China, Mexico, France, Australia, Taiwan, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Brazil.

The festival was filled with kites far from the normal traditional diamond shape and had various designs including sea creatures, Disney characters and gingerbread men.

Attendees had the option to purchase kites at the festival and try their hand at flying them.

Additionally, the event featured kite-making workshops for the public’s enjoyment.
