President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola met with Michael Vella, Daphne Caruana Galizia’s father, six years after the journalist’s tragic assassination.

“Even though she was the subject of attacks, dehumanisation and threats, Daphne never gave up and kept on searching for the truth, relentlessly,” Metsola wrote on social media. 

“Six years later, we remain steadfast in seeing the truth exposed and justice served. Side by side with her father Michael and all her family.”

Today, the nation is reminded of the tragic death of the Maltese journalist whose investigative work revealed webs of corruption.

So, in honour of her work, Metsola met with her father, who just recently lost his wife Rose.

According to her statement, the rest of Daphne’s family was also present in this meeting.
