Lovin Malta Is 'Running' To Raise Money For A Very Special Charity

... and here's how you can help

Lovin Malta is proud to announce we're taking our collective New Year's resolution to be healthy AF pretty seriously. That's right: we've gritted our teeth, renewed (or applied for) a gym subscription, and slowly begun to gear up for the 2018 edition of the Malta Marathon! We'll be running... well, walking our way whilst also helping raise money for charity.

Returning back for its ninth edition, the Vodafone Malta Marathon will be kicking off on Sunday 25th February, with its usual marathon, half-marathon, and walkathon all set to make a comeback. 

Lovin Malta is proud to support the Malta Marathon and the Inspire Foundation, however we'd like to take things a step further. We're calling on Malta and Gozo to help us raise money as we prepare for the marathon in aid of an additional charity of our choice. 

Mental health awareness is something we hold very dear, particularly in light of the unfortunate taboo that still seems to haunt it. As roughly 1 in 4 people in Malta and Gozo require psychiatric treatment or care, we feel the need to highlight this cause. That's why we'd like to donate our collective funds to the Richmond Foundation, which works to help people with mental illness return to as independent a lifestyle as possible while also providing educational and training opportunities for the general public.

We've set up a fundraiser at Zaar.com.mt where you can donate to help us in our mission to Richmond Foundation through 2018. You could help towards financing a counselling app as well as a brand new refurbished residence for the Foundation's younger patients. 

Donations start at €5 to €500, as well as €1000 and €2000 corporate donations available too. What's more, if you donate over €20, you get a little something back starting with Eurosport donations as well a slew of Lovin Malta perks.
