Emma Muscat Has Just Obliterated A National Social Media Record
Emma Muscat’s road to international success keeps looking better and better. Following a tense week which saw her finally going through to the next stage of Italian talent show Amici after all, the young Maltese singer has seen a surge of Instagram followers. And when we say surge, we’re talking about hundreds of thousands.
Emma has just hit 400,000 followers on Instagram!
To put that into perspective, she’s not only the most followed Maltese person ever, but she has nearly eight times the followers as the next top followed local celebrity. Oh, and there’s also the casual fact that the number roughly coincides with the entire population of her home country.
In a post celebrating her recent achievement, Emma thanked her family, friends and fans for following her, promising them that this is only the beginning. “I will not let you down,” the young Maltese singer said.
At the rate she’s been gaining followers, it’s not hard to believe that this really is only the beginning for the young Maltese singer.
Two months ago, Emma had just over 100k followers. In about eight weeks, she’s managed to quadruple that amount. Even right now, while we’re writing this, the starlet has already amassed 9,000 more followers in the last three days since she hit 400k.
Emma’s latest post brings everything back to the matter at hand; tomorrow’s episode of Amici.
“I’m ready for tomorrow,” the singer wrote in Italian. “Please continue to stay ever closer to me so that I can feel your love even more!” And just like that, in under an hour, the post had received over 22,000 likes. Talk about having everyone absolutely in love with you.
