Elle Eyre, the singer behind hits like Comeback and Together who will be performing at tonight’s Isle of MTV festival, casually has a Maltese tattoo on her left shoulder.

The tattoo is the first few words of the Catholic prayer Hail Mary in Maltese – “Sliem Għalik Marija, Bil-Grazzja”.

Elle Eyre is half-Maltese and half-Jamaican

The daughter of Malta even said that she got her luscious locks from being “half-Jamaican, half-Maltese and using lots of hairspray”, and once even jokingly tweeted about moving to Malta.

She’ll be performing at tonight’s Isle of MTV in a line-up that features Emma Muscat, Christabelle, and Jason Derulo.
