In Celebration Of A Filter-Filled Week, Here’s Our Maltese Celebrity FaceApp Hall Of Fame
We’ve put up our own local celebs through FaceApp before, but this time, some stars so Maltese they might as well have eight points have taken up the task themselves.
We’ve compiled a list of the highlights, from the classy to the crazy. Hold on to your selfie cams!
1. Cyrus Elder-er
The former Sliema Councillor and MEP Candidate appears to have aged relatively gracefully. Fortunately, the filter didn’t add 40 years to his piece of sushi – that’d make for a very different photo!
2. Comedy, 50 Years On
Malta’s favourite comedy duo, Daniel Chircop and Chrysander Agius, joined up with a couple of friends to bring you a collage of senior citizenry
3. Davide Tucci
Honestly, this picture’s so realistic we’re not sure if it’s FaceApp, Photoshop or some Hollywood-level makeup artistry. But whoosh, can you say silver fox?

…something, something, aged like a fine wine? I got nothin’.
But it’s always good to see Malta’s favourite environmentalist join in on the fun!
4. The Whole Jon Mallia Saga
It began with a simple post from Kaxxaturi’s own Jon Mallia….
The comments quickly fired up, with a call for Jon’s rendition of the FaceApp challenge, and one of his mates quickly complied, sticking this in the comments:

That’s probably one of the strangest things we’ve ever seen. Who would’ve thought that San Ġorġ could’ve ever in his entire been young? That’s not how I choose to remember him, thank you very much.

The Vibe FM star’s FaceApp Challenge sure is looki…. oh, shit. We just got a call. He didn’t do the challenge at all, he’s just bleached his beard. Our bad. Hey, he’s looking pretty badass though!
