Outrage Spreads As Clip Showing Emma Muscat’s Rivals Laughing At Malta Vacation Plans Goes Viral

 

Controversy has spread like wildfire among local Amici fans after an old video diary filmed by Einar and Carmen made the rounds on Facebook this weekend.

The clip from over one month ago shows Emma Muscat’s rivals discussing where they’d like to go on vacation. At one point Einar jokingly insinuates they should go to Malta and Carmen’s knee-jerk reaction is a no. The pair then laugh it off and as Einar continues to imply the pair could hang out with Emma, while Carmen goes on to say: “I mean, sure! Why not?”

Unsurprisingly, Malta was not amused.

From The Salott to personal profiles, the anger was real. Forgetting that the outright rivalry was over and the fact that these two teenagers weren’t insulting the whole country, Maltese Amici fans went all out against the pair.

In between it all, some viewers called for a more level-headed discussion. Malta tends to be sensitive to comments made about our nation, particularly when discussing it as a holiday destination.

One comment even pulled a fast one on those raging about the issue, making it seem like she was on their side before pointing out that she was really shaming the people who took these comments to heart.
