Justice Minister Owen Bonnici and PN deputy leader David Agius put aside their political rivalries to welcome Emma Muscat back to Malta yesterday evening.

Bonnici and Agius were waiting for Emma at the airport along with the young singer’s family. When she arrived, Agius embraced her and told her “You made us all proud!”

Tohen to prove his point, he put his hand around Bonnici’s shoulder and said: “You united us!”

After six months participating in the Amici talent show, Emma arrived home to a heroine’s welcome, with hundreds of screaming fans mobbing her and the airport putting up a ‘Welcome Home Emma’ sign at Arrivals.

Later on, she made a guest appearance on Xarabank – joining other Maltese personalities in picking up the phone to receive donations in a fundraising telethon for Dar tal-Providenza.
