The Talk Of The Island: Malta Reacts To Last Night’s X Factor Debut

The first episode of X Factor Malta hit the airwaves on Sunday night, and Maltese culture had a moment.
Seeing the international talent show made famous by people like Simon Cowell be translated to a Maltese format must have been a watershed moment for many proud nationals.
However, people sure had a lot to say about the show, with positive and negative comments flowing in quicker than Ira Losco can cry.
A lot of people had their minds blown by the mix of English and Maltese on the show

And of course, people weren’t a fan of all the adverts

The diversity in the competitors was noted
And people understood the difficulty of judging a talent show on an island like Malta
For some people, the only enjoyable part of the show was Ben Camille
And others were just there for Ira Losco
Some didn’t like the logic being how some singers were judged
Overall though, you can bet your butt people will be tuning in to episode two
What did you think of the first episode of X Factor?
